Is the Iranian Revolution Dead? Have the Mullahs Won?
There has been a lot of “expert analysis” in the past ten days saying that the Green Movement in Iran is all washed up, and that the regime is firmly in control of events there.This follows two earlier periods of “consensus,” the first claiming that there was no chance of a revolution in Iran — this was the conventional wisdom even after the explosion of anti-regime passion following the fraudulent election results announced on June 12, 2009 — and then a shorter, more recent, period when the success of the revolution was taken to be inevitable.

Jundallah warns of attacks against Iran
The Sunni insurgent group Jundallah called on its supporters to take up arms against Iran following failed peace negotiations with Tehran, al-Arabiya reports. Jundallah in a statement received by al-Arabiya said rare talks with the government of Iran broke down because Tehran held off on responding to demands from the group.

Iran and Pakistan: Terrorism States or Victims of Terrorism?

For the past few months we had the “honor” to read many articles and news reports in which the above countries have been described as mayor threats and terrorism/terrorists supported states, without any sustainable evidence. It is not a secret that these states are facing much political and economical turbulence, but that does not necessarily mean they are a threat to the world.

Eyewitness reports vetted by reliable groups are now coming out of Iran, indicating that the government response specifically targeted opposition leaders to demoralize the protesters.Opposition leader Mehdi Karroubi was ambushed as he descended from his vehicle at Sadeghiyeh Square, his son Hossein said in an interview with Tehran Bureau, an independent Western news organization affiliated with PBS’s “Frontline” that reports extensively from Iran.

West greets Iran nuclear claim with scepticism
Western powers have responded with scepticism to a claim by Iran that a deal to swap enriched uranium for nuclear fuel could now be close. Iran's Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki told a security conference in Germany that an agreement could be reached in a "not too distant future".

Iran sets West Feb 1 deadline to accept fuel proposal
EHRAN: Iran said on Saturday that it has given the West a one-month "ultimatum" to accept Tehran's own proposal on a deal for providing nuclear fuel for a reactor in the Islamic Republic, state television reported.
